Saint Gabriel's Church (left) Saint Joseph's Church (right)

During the early decades of its history the community of Comeau's Hill was part of St. Michael's parish, and its people attended church at Wedgeport. In 1885, during the time of Reverend Father Alphonse B. Parker, Comeau's Hill built the first church of their own, and it was christened Saint Gabriel. It burned to the ground in 1932 and was replaced in 1933 by the larger and more elaborate church that is still found in the community today. Photographer unknown.
